Description:

Participants will be prepared with skills and knowledge to work primarily in residential and community settings providing support to the elderly. Employment at this level usually requires reporting directly to a supervisor and responsibilities include duties such as maintenance of an individual’s personal care and/or other activities for living.

Course: Certificate IV Disability (CHC40308)
Description: A rewarding career choice for those who wish to positively impact and help improve the quality of living for those with disabilities. Participants will further develop the skills and knowledge to enable them to provide the required care and support to people with disabilities to enhance their ability to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance and community participation. Employment at this level may include reporting to service managers and health care professionals. The ability to work without direct supervision and supervise and/or coordinate a limited number of lower classified workers may also be required.
